Kombatkids hold the largest Safeguarding Code 'Multi Award' in Martial Arts in England. Each venue has been individually awarded the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts Award.
Children attend Kombatkids for a number of reasons, most enquiries are based on reputation or have came from recommendation but other calls of enquiry maybe their child is being bullied or they want their child to be able to defend themself against a thug on the street or they want their child to gain more confidence or they want them to have a more disciplined attitude.
Kombatkids recognises a student as an individual and works with each child to look at all areas of their karate development.
Kombatkids promotes a student to have a healthy and positive mindset...set goals, achieve and not let obstacles get in the way...subsequently contributing in embracing other positive aspects in their life to help create a growth mindset.
Kombatkids ensures parents are receiving the best form of keeping up to date with communications. We have a parentmail system, website, facebook, two way telephone/email communication with parent/instructor and contact can be made directly to Head Office should you wish to ask any further questions or discuss any concern.
All students are taught to support and respect each other...many go onto develop external long term friendships.
Students get to learn Japanese Karate terminology, get fit and learn a fantastic traditional martial art!
We encourage all parents or persons with parental responsiblity to look around at different clubs and ask the relevant questions before considering their child joins a club (You can be a great athlete, you can be a high dan grade....that does not mean you are a good coach!)
Kombatkids Instructors:
a) All have trained with Kombatkids for a mininum of 7yrs before becoming an instructor. As a student progresses through grades, they will at some point be taught by other Kombatkids instructors (i.e.courses, instructor cover, competition). This enables the students to recieve excellent quality of tuition and same understanding of the style we teach.
b) All clubs are structured and ran exactly the same way.
c) No instructor is taken on and left to run their own club as they wish.
d) Any issues or problems, Kombatkids has procedures and policies in place that are strictly followed.
e) All instructors are corresponded with as a group and in regular 'daily' communications.
Statement from Steve & Selina Moore:
"As founders of Kombatkids in 1992, it is important for us to personally manage and govern Kombatkids. We love what we do and as parents of three grown up children, know exactly what parents should expect in terms of value for money, quality of tuition and knowing their child is happy and safe in their new chosen activity. All Kombatkids instructors have the additional security and benefit knowing they have immediate support, guidance and appropriate advice given to run their classes professionally. Parents can be assured, when selecting Kombatkids for their child, they have made....the right choice!"
