All of the students who have passed their Black Belt 1st and 2nd Dans are in this section. We are very proud of the 426 students who have gone on to pass their Black belt 1st Dans, 84 students have passed their 2nd Dans and 10 students their 3rd Dans.
Wado EXLCompetition 2007 Ohtsuka Cup
Central took a small squad of students to the Wado Xl tournament in Srewsbury, the tournament was a little different to the usual with demonstrations of traditional martial art conditioning methods,and a demonstration of Tekko drumming. Wadokai World Cup Tokyo, Japan 2005
Selina, Steve Lyle and Lana visited Japan for the first time with Wado Kai England in 2005 to attend the Japanese National Championships and the Wadokai World Cup. Lyle Moore competed in the Japanese nationals in the fighting he was the only English student competing in the kumite. Lyle did very well at such a young age of 10. The trip was extremely interesting we managed to visit Mount Fuji and various sites in Tokyo, finishing off with a trip to Disneyland Tokyo for a week, which was a little different to the experience you would have in Florida.
Wadokai European Championships 2006
The Wadokai European Championships were held in Reading 2006, Central were pleased to have 4 students selected. Ben, Anisha, Lyle and Terence all competed very well. Ben Slater – Individual Kata – Silver Medal, Anisha Mistry – Individual Kata – Silver Medal, Terence Wong – Individual Kata – Bronze Medal, Terence Wong- Team Kata – Silver Medal.
Wadokai European Championships Sweden 2007
Central were pleased to have four of our students selected for the Wadokai European Championships held in Gothenburg Sweden November 07. Anisha and Ben were both crowned European Wadokai Kata champions in their respective categories, which was an emotional experience for their parents and for us. Lyle fought the biggest Russian 12 year old you have ever seen and did well not to go home in an ambulance. Maria won Silver in ladies Kata. Ben Slater- Under 15's Wado Kai European Kata champion, Anisha Mistry - Under 12's Wado Kai European Kata champion, Maria Staples - Individual Senior ladies Kata - Silver Medal, Lyle Moore - Under 13's Individual Kumite - Bronze Medal
Wadokai European Championships Romania 2008
Central were pleased to have 6 students selected for the Wadokai European Championships. All of our students competed very well in difficult conditions.Lyle fractured his thumb in a tournament leading up to the Europeans and was dissapointed not to have been able to fight. Anisha achieved the titleof European Kata champion for the second year in a row which was a fabulous achievement. Results of our students: Anisha Mistry - Under 13's Wado Kai European Kata Champion, Ben Slater - Team Kata - Bronze Medal, Tom Hillitt - Individual Kata - Bronze Medal, Graeme Hamilton - Individual Kata - Bronze Medal, Graeme Hamilton - Team Kata - Gold Medal, Maria Staples competed very well and was unlucky not to win a medal.
Competition Gallery 06 - 07
After a ten year break from Karate Competition because of the politics, and general dissilusionment with the whole competition scene, we decided to take a tentative step back into the Tournament arena. After attending a few tournaments we realised that there was alot of work to get our students winning medals in Kata and Kumite and gave ourselves 2 years to try and win some medals with some fantastic results.

Central entered 7 tournaments during the year, with students of all abilities competing for Central, again we had an excellent year with our students, showing how far they had come particularly in Kata.

Central decided to raise the bar this year by attending the English Karate Federation tournaments which are of a very high standard .Our fighters competed very well with some noteable results. As usual the squads that have competed all year for Central have been exemplary in their attitude and behaviour.

Wadokai Junior European Cup 2005
Central were pleased to have 7 students selected to compete in the junior Wadokai European Cup 2005. Ben Slater, Lyle Moore, Anisha Mistry, Shane Holmes (didnt compete had to go on holiday instead),Maria Staples, Terence Wong, Tom Hillitt. No students won any medals but the experience was very good for them.
Competition Gallery 2010
Central have had a good start to the competition season with students really showing an improvement on last years performances, the focus on specialised Kumite training is really starting to pay off, 5 of our students are training with the England Kumite Coach Wayne Otto OBE on a weekly basis and are reaping the benefits of this quality tuition. James stuart 2nd dan and Lyle Moore 2nd dan have both been selected for the National A squad where selections take place for the European and World Championships.

Central have had another fantastic year of competition, competing all over the country, winning many medals in Kata and Kumite along the way.
Many of our younger students have made great improvements throughout the year by attending squad training sessions and gaining valuable tournament experience.
