Competition Karate

Students are given the opportunity to attend squad training sessions which are held monthly at Wolverhampton University, Walsall campus. A selection of instructors are in attendance who work for Central karate schools, students take part in Kumite (Sparring), Kata and receive tuition in the rules, etiquette, strategy etc, that they will meet in the competitive environment.

Students receive high quality tuition from the coaches in both kata and kumite, students have the opportunity to be selected for interrnational competitions if they attend regularly and achieve medal placings in a selection of domestic tournaments.

The competitive route requires alot of dedication both from parents and students, before success can be gained, many students compete, but have to learn that losing is a big part of the learning process for success, its only through constant training and competing and getting used to the competition environment that students can eventually start winning.
